I fly IFR OCAS quite regularly so want the VFR chart displayed by default, and I find it irritating that I have to remember to change flight mode from ‘ VFR’ two ‘Mixed’ each time I create a new route. Forgetting to do so means I may miss some relevant NOTAM. 

Any chance that a preferred mode could be created in Setup > Planning options?
